We haven’t posted for a while, but then again we haven’t raced in a while (since the spring series in April). A brilliant three days with eight races – the best conditions the Solent has to offer and some very tough racing.

hi guys
we sail 34.7 in Ireland, would be interested to hear how you get your boat to go so well.
cheers
Leslie
Leslie, hopefully we will make it over to Cork week one year to race you. We have a carbon rig on Mongoose if you don’t. One of the key things we find is clear air – therefore a good start is essential, and also sail your angles (we have an A Sail) and can’t run like the other 34.7s who have symmetrical kites and loose out when we try to. A lot of banter on the boat helps and a good crew – hardworking driver and main essential! Don’t forget to always have a few social beers the evening before the race.
Hope that helps!
